This comprehensive blood test is for women aged 40 and over who want to check if their symptoms could be connected to hormonal changes. If you are experiencing symptoms like tiredness, poor sleep, weight gain or low mood, this test can help identify whether your hormones may be the cause.
Oestradiol, Testosterone, SHBG, FSH, FAI, Ferritin, Free Thyroxine, TSH, Vitamin D, Folate - Serum, Vitamin B12 - Active.
Our midlife test checks if any of these could be hormone related.
“There is not a way to specifically test for perimenopause, but by ruling out other conditions that could cause symptoms your doctor can be more sure that hormones are the cause.”

What to expect when you order the midlife women's health check
Take your blood test sample
Your test kit will come with full instructions telling you how to take your blood test samples. We also provide a video tutorial to help support you further. If you require any additional guidance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our care team.
In your kit, you will find a Tasso device. The Tasso device is an autodraw device that is placed on the upper arm to take blood samples. The kit you receive, and the video tutorial, will include full instructions on how to place this device and remove it after you have finished collecting your samples
For the midlife women's blood test, you will need to take two blood samples. We provide you with two colour coded tubes and full instructions on what to do with each.
Return your kit
Once you have taken the blood samples, you will need to pack your kit as per the given instructions. The next step is to seal it in the prepaid envelope and return it to us by dropping it off into a royal mail post box.
Once we receive your samples, your results will be processed within 2–3 days.
Attend your complementary appointment
With this service, we include a complimentary appointment with one of our clinicians to help you make sense of your results and talk through your next steps.
Each appointment is 20-minutes long, and gives you the chance to get your questions answered by an expert in women's health. If treatment or supporting your health with supplements is something you are considering, our clinicians can also talk you through what we offer and how we can help.
Receive your results and clinician letter
Your results will be emailed to you in a PDF, along with your clinic letter from your appointment. You can then share this information with your own GP, if you would like to.
