Still feeling foggy and low, even on HRT? You’re not imagining it.
Many women on hormone therapy continue to experience brain fog, fatigue, low libido, or lack of motivation. If that sounds familiar, testosterone may be one of the missing pieces.
You’ll need an appointment and a recent safety blood test (within 3 months, from us or another provider) before starting a testosterone plan.
See if a testosterone plan could help you feel like you again
Testosterone is made in the ovaries and adrenal glands. The amount your body produces will naturally reduce with age. Many women feel the impact of this, even when they’re already on HRT for oestrogen. That’s where testosterone treatment can help.
If our clinicians recommend testosterone, you can choose between two plans.
40.5mg of testosterone in a 2.5mg sachet. Gel usually applied once daily.
Dose: 1% testosterone cream. Cream applied once daily.
There is strong evidence for testosterone replacement helping women with low sex drive. Other benefits have been reported by patients, but further research is needed to confirm that testosterone helps with mood, cognition and energy.
Before starting a plan, check your testosterone levels
You’ll need a baseline blood test (£60) before starting testosterone. This can be done at home with our easy-to-use Tasso kit. Once results are reviewed in a complimentary appointment and treatment is confirmed as safe, you can begin your plan.
Please note: If you’ve already had a test (containing the tests Testosterone, SHBG, and Free Androgen Index) through another provider or GP- our doctors can use the results during your appointment.
Or, book your appointment if you’ve already had a test
This appointment will take place online at a time that suits your schedule, with our next available clinician. Your first appointment is £45 and this cost is separate to the cost of your plan.
