What is Intrarosa?

Intrarosa is a local vaginal treatment used to relieve menopausal symptoms such as vaginal dryness, soreness, irritation, and pain during sex. It comes as a small pessary, inserted into the vagina once daily at bedtime.

Intrarosa contains prasterone (also known as DHEA), a hormone your body naturally produced before menopause. Once inside the vaginal tissues, prasterone is converted into small amounts of oestrogen and testosterone, helping to restore comfort and tissue health without significantly increasing hormone levels in the bloodstream.

It is suitable for postmenopausal women looking for a non-systemic, hormone-based treatment for vaginal symptoms.
